    Black Butler Now Available on Square Enix’s Manga Up! App

    14 volumes are free for a limited time.

    Square Enix announced the Black Butler manga series is now available on the global version of the Manga Up! app. Several chapters and volumes are available for free leading up to the premiere of Black Butler: Public School Arc.

    Yana Toboso’s Black Butler manga series began in 2006, and 33 volumes have been released to date. The 34th volume is set to release on April 26. Moreover, the Black Butler anime series returns a few weeks prior on April 13 as an adaptation of the manga’s Public School Arc.

    Black Butler Volumes Now Live on Manga Up! App

    Square Enix confirms an English translation of Black Butler volumes 1 through 14 are available on Manga Up! for free until April 16 at 7:59 p.m. PDT / 10:59 p.m. EDT. In addition, Manga Up!’s new subscription plan Vault Pass ($4.99 per month) offers four additional Black Butler volumes to read for a total of 18. More volumes will be available through Vault Pass. 

    Alongside Black Butler, readers have access to popular ongoing series like Toilet-bound Hanako-kunMy Happy Marriage, and The Apothecary Diaries. Square Enix plans on delivering Japanese titles to readers around the world as quickly as possible. More updates are to come, including additional Black Butler releases.

    Black Butler: Public School Arc will premiere on April 13 on Tokyo MX, Tochigi TV, Gunma TV, BS11, MBS, and other TV networks in Japan. Crunchyroll will stream the anime worldwide outside of Japan.
