SEGA announced several free updates for online action RPG Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis launching throughout December 2024. The first update will bring the second Melty Blood: Type Lumina collaboration.
The December 4 update introduces a new Quest Type, ARKS Training Center. Players may try out various actions, including M.A.R.S., in an environment suited for training. The Chilliest Chase quest also returns with the revamped Limited-time Quest: Drill: 2 Chilly 2 Chase. Players may use floating boards to chase and defeat the Giant Mutant: Konigssee Yedi Geo and earn Super Genesis Festival ’24 SP Scratch Tickets as a reward.
Moreover, the December 4 update for Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis brings the second Melty Blood: Type Lumina collab. Outfits, hairstyles, accessories, and other avatar items for Miyako Arima, Dead Apostle Noel, and Powered Ciel may be acquired from the Melty Blood Style ’24 AC Scratch Ticket. Players can also expect weapon camos, Build Parts, portable holograms, and much more.
On December 10, Super Genesis Festival ’24 begins as a celebration of the game’s 3.5-year anniversary. Central City will be decorated for the holiday season, and players can encounter Reindeer Rappy, Saint Emperappy, and Saint Great Rappy while exploring. The Seasonal Points Exchange Shop brings festive decorations as well.
The December 18 update brings new quests and trials as well. Take on Valvilan Axe and Valvilan Wand simultaneously in Urgent Quest: Co-Op Starless Suppression Op. You can also fight Saint Great Rappy in Nameless City through January 8, 2025 in Limited-time Trial: Saint Great Rappy Suppression.
