The Gangan Online website announced that Shiro Amano and Square Enix’s Kingdom Hearts III manga adaptation will be “reaching its climax” with the next chapter. This means that the Kingdom Hearts III manga will be approaching its end soon.
Amano’s Kingdom Hearts III manga first launched on April 2019 with a prologue chapter on the Gangan Online website. The first chapter launched that following June, and the manga’s third volume released in March 2023. A fourth volume is expected to release in 2025. Unfortunately, Yen Press is no longer publishing the manga in English, as the company stopped publishing it after the second volume’s release.
Recently, Square Enix announced a new FORM-ISM figure of Sora (Kingdom Hearts II Ver.) will be released in March 2025. Pre-orders are now live in Japan for 7,480 yen at participating retailers like amiami and CDJapan.
The Kingdom Hearts series finally came to Steam on June 13, bringing the mainline series to the platform for the first time. Specifically, the release includes Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 Remix, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, and Kingdom Hearts 3 + ReMind, with the sole exception being Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory.
Kingdom Hearts Missing-Link was revealed alongside the highly-anticipated Kingdom Hearts IV during the 20th anniversary event in April 2022, and both games are still in development. Kingdom Hearts IV marks the beginning of the Lost Master arc, which is the “second phase” of the Kingdom Hearts series. Sora will explore the mysterious city of Quadratum, located in a separate universe regarded as “fiction” to the Kingdom Hearts universe.
