Pikkards usually catch the eye of Adol Christin in the Ys games, and that’s no different in Ys X: Nordics. As a young adventurer, Adol may find Pikkards and recruit them to the Sandras crew, after first rescuing Lux and his daughter, Sache.
Finding Pikkards in Ys X: Nordics yields useful rewards, including crystal shards and other materials usable for crafting ship upgrades or cooking recipes. The first Pikkard is immediately rescued in Lux and Sache’s mini quest line, and five other Pikkards are scattered across Obelia Bay. Once rescued, you can return to the Pikkard pen inside the Sandras cabin to claim rewards from each Pikkard periodically. Sometimes, they will even leave the pen and roam around the ship.

- Head to Termina Island after receiving the Mana Sense ability to find a Silver Pikkard in a muddy puddle
- After getting the Mana Barrier ship ability, head to Hidden Isle in Ozmid Expanse to find a Speedy Pikkard
- In the Sonnelia Basin, head to the westernmost blue question mark icon to find a shipwrecked Scaredy Pikkard
- Head southeast of the Dvergr Coast to find a Scrappy Pikkard on a floating log
- Head to the Cicatrix after exploring Rollo’s Ark to find a Speticolor Pikkard
