The October 24 issue of Famitsu will release on October 10 with a 26-page special feature for Metaphor: ReFantazio. The Famitsu issue will contain a special interview with Metaphor: ReFantazio director Katsura Hashino, character designer Shigenori Soejima, and Archetype designer Yuji Himukai. Hashino also speaks with Bokeh Game Studio’s Keiichiro Toyama in a creator talk.

Before launch, players may try out the Metaphor: ReFantazio Prologue demo, which recently received an update on Steam. The version 1.02 update will now select the highest spec dedicated GPU in the user’s configuration. Previously, players with gaming laptops may have noticed the demo selecting integrated graphics on the CPU instead of the dedicated GPU. Moreover, minor fixes were applies.

In terms of content, the demo contains the beginning of the journey, the first four dungeons, seven of the 40+ Archetypes, and six followers. Players may transfer their save data to the full game after completing the demo, allowing them to continue from where they left off.

Metaphor: ReFantazio will launch on October 11 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Windows (Microsoft Store). Final Weapon had the opportunity to play and preview Metaphor: ReFantazio at Summer Game Fest 2024, with exclusive footage on our official YouTube channel.
