Nexon Games announced the second update for The First Descendant Season 1: Invasion will launch on October 10, featuring Ultimate Freyna, Hailey’s new modification modules, and much more.
Ultimate Freyna will become playable with the second update for The First Descendant Season 1, and she will have access to two exclusive modules. The Toxic Moisture module will trigger Necrosis instead of Room 0 Trauma, increasing her Firearm attack as stacks of Necrosis build. With max stacks, critical hit rate will also increase. The Venom Injection module consumes resources to recover the player’s shield, increase Skill Power Modifier, and inflict Corrosion on enemies, which reduces enemies’ Toxin Resistance.
The new update will also introduce Freyna’s exclusive Descendant story, exploring her back story. Moreover, players will gain access to Hailey’s new modification modules: Supercooled Kuiper Round and Cryogenic Cluster Shot. Supercooled Kuiper Round reduces Firearm attack and fire rate, but increases Weak Point damage in return. Cryogenic Cluster Shot deals additional AoE damage to nearby enemies.
Death Stalker will be introduced as a new Void Intercept Boss Battle, and the new Frost Watcher will serve as an incredible Ultimate Weapon for Hailey. Moreover, players take on endless battles in 400% Infiltration Operations to gain an exclusive currency, which can be traded for special rewards offered by ETA-0. This merchant only appears on Fridays through Sundays every week.
The city of Albion will be adorned with Halloween decorates. Players may also look forward to Halloween-themed special skins, cosmetics, and hair dyes. In the meantime, watch the latest trailer below:
The First Descendant is available now for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. The game will receive PlayStation 5 Pro enhancements, including improved lighting, shadows, reflections, and PSSR and FSR 3.1 Frame Generation support.
