REYNATIS Content Update 1 Now Available in the West

    A difficult boss awaits.

NIS America announced REYNATIS content update 1 is now available in the west, featuring Marin Kirizumi’s additional story. More content updates for REYNATIS will be released in the west, bringing parity with the Japanese version.

According to NIS America and creative producer Takumi Isobe, only two or three of the development team’s members have cleared the boss in REYNATIS content update 1. It should be quite a challenge, especially if it takes cues from some of Kingdom Hearts’ most difficult end-game bosses.

Scenario writer Kazushige Nojima would like to work on a REYNATIS sequel to fix some of the problems he encountered while writing the story. According to Nojima, it’s difficult to tell a linear story in an open map structure. He would like to solve this problem in a REYNATIS sequel and implement episodes for all the individual characters.

“It’s always difficult to tell a linear story in a game with an open map structure,” Nojima said. “I encountered this issue with REYNATIS, but I don’t think I quite solved it. I’d love to take another crack at it. Also, we weren’t able to put in episodes for the individual characters, so if there were the opportunity to do that [it would be great].”

REYNATIS is now available for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam in the west. Before launch, Final Weapon had the opportunity to review REYNATIS and experience what the full game had to offer

A free REYNATIS demo is also available, allowing players to enjoy an early portion of the game as both Marin Kirizumi and Sari Nishijima. The REYNATIS demo will grant special bonuses in the full game, depending on the player’s in-game status when it’s cleared.
