    PICROSS Records of The Shield Hero Revealed for Switch

    Jupiter Corporation announced PICROSS Records of The Shield Hero, a puzzle game adaptation for The Rising of the Shield Hero anime series. The game will launch on October 3 for Nintendo Switch, and it will cost $10.99. 

    PICROSS Records of The Shield Hero will feature an episode mode that relives the journey of Naofumi, Raphtalia, and their friends. A total of 175 puzzles will be available in the game as well.

    The Rising of The Shield Hero anime series is now available as a puzzle game!
    PICROSS and The Rising of The Shield Hero anime series are collaborating. The game features an Episode mode for fans of The Rising of the Shield Hero. You can relive the adventures of Naofumi, Raphtalia, Filo and friends while solving puzzles.
    Not only can you play the usual Picross, Mega Picross, and Color Picross from the Picross S series, but Clip Picross and Extra also recreate famous scenes with large puzzles.
    The number of puzzles is 166 each for Picross and Mega Picross, four for Clip Picross, and more than 40 piece puzzles each for a total of 175 puzzles, 47 puzzles for Color Picross and eight for Extra.

    The Rising Of The Shield Hero started airing in January 2019, quickly becoming one of the most popular anime of that year. A second season proved to be just as successful, and The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 3 wrapped up in December 2023. The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 4 is coming soon. 

    Alongside confirmation from Kadokawa, Naofumi voice actor Kaito Ishikawa revealed his excitement for The Rising of the Shield Hero to continue in Season 4 during a radio program. Shortly after the announcement, Crunchyroll confirmed that it will stream the fourth season when it premieres. 

    Kinema Citrus produced all 12 episodes of The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 3. Hitoshi Haga served as director with Keigo Koyanagi will writing and supervising the series scripts. Kevin Penkin returned as composer.
