NEXON announced the Blue Archive ‘Rowdy And Cheery’ update is now live for Android and iOS. The new update introduces a new story featuring the Gehenna Academy and the Allied Hyakkiyako Academy, along with new characters, a new game mode, and more.
The new event story features 10 episodes in total, and completing the story grants various rewards, including Pyroxenes and Credit Points. Tsubaki (Guide) and Umika joins the fray as new playable characters. Tsubaki (Guide) is a Piercing-type Special student, and her EX Skill increases allies’ ATK stats in a circular area for 45 seconds. Umiki is a Mystic-type Striker that can summon a fireworks launcher that deals major damage to a single enemy with her EX Skill.
The Rowdy And Cheery update also introduces the Final Restriction Release, a new mode where Blue Archive players challenge a stronge boss that appears in stages. Up to 6 Strikers and 4 Special students can be assigned to a unit in this mode. Moreover, this mode also increases the maximum amount of cost and the number of skill cards that players can hold. By playing Final Restriction Release, players can earn growth items and Workbooks for the new Talent Unlock system. The first season will end on October 21 at 11:59 a.m. PT / 6:59 p.m. UTC.
To celebrate the update’s release, Nexon release new emojis on the LINE messaging platform. Over 40 expressions are depicted in the brand-new emojis.
