During Sonic Central, SEGA and Rovio announced 32-player battle royale game Sonic Rumble is coming to PC alongside the previously announced Android and iOS versions. Sonic Rumble will be released this coming winter, with pre-registration opening in the fall.

Sonic Rumble is the first jointly developed title between SEGA and Rovio following Rovio’s acquisition. With Sonic Rumble, SEGA hopes to expand the presence of the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise in the mobile gaming market, which Rovio has expertise in.
The Sonic Rumble closed beta test was previously held from May 24 to May 26, giving players the opportunity to try out an early version of the game. The first pre-launch phase is now live in the Philippines, Peru, Colombia, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, and Brazil. A second pre-launch phase will begin in fall 2024, alongside global pre-registration.

In Sonic Rumble, players will take control of toy figures to compete in thrilling 32-player battle royale challenges, racing against each other to collect the most rings and prove themselves to be the fastest in the toybox. With iconic characters from the Sonic the Hedgehog universe available for customization, players can create their own unique avatars and dive into the action-packed gameplay.
The latest release in the mainline series, Sonic X Shadow Generations, will launch on October 25 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.
