SEGA announced Puyo Puyo Puzzle Pop update 1.6.0 is now live on Apple Arcade. Puyo Puyo Puzzle Pop update 1.6.0 introduces three new rulesets to the game: Dig, Frozen, and Spinner.
Update 1.6.0 also adds two BGM tracks to the shop. These two arrangements are fan-favorites from the main Puyo Puyo series. The latest update also applies bug fixes to improve the overall experience.

Patch Notes
- Three new rulesets have been added to Solo Mode and Multiplayer Mode.
- Dig
- Pop Puyos around the stars to send loads of Garbage Puyos to your opponent!
- Frozen
- All Garbage Puyos will become Frozen Puyos!
- Once the ice melts, pop the Puyos in one fell swoop to change the course of the game!
- Spinner
- When the countdown reaches zero, the field will rotate 180 degrees!
- Use this to send lots of Garbage Puyos to your opponent!
- Dig
- Two BGM tracks added to the shop.
- Arrangements of 2 fan-favorite tunes from the Puyo Puyo series have been added!
- Minor bug fixes
