WayForward has announced that Clock Tower: Rewind will now release on October 29. The game would’ve originally released two days later, on October 31. The game, initially titled Clock Tower Port +, will also be playable at Tokyo Game Show 2024. It will also include new vocal songs by Mary Elizabeth McGlynn (Silent Hill series) and Emi Evans (Nier series), motion comics with voiceovers, an art gallery, save states, a rewind function, a music player, and other bonuses.

The remaster will be the first time the game has been ported to the West. Initially released for the Super Famicom in 1995, the upcoming remaster will feature several quality-of-life changes that make it the definitive way to experience the horror classic. Clock Tower: Rewind will be available on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, and Nintendo Switch on October 29.

The Steam page describes it as follows:

Turn back the clock for one of the pioneers of the survival-horror genre. Translated and released outside of Japan for the first time, Clock Tower: Rewind is a revival of the terror-inducing 16-bit classic that dares you to explore the haunting confines of the Barrows family manor. As teenage orphan Jennifer, you must search every disturbing corner to find items, reveal secrets, and discover ways to evade Scissorman, a murderous, unstoppable, shears-wielding psychopath.

Play Original mode to experience Clock Tower as it was when initially released in 1995, or play Rewind mode with extra content and improvements. Additional features include a new animated intro, opening and ending vocal theme songs, motion comics, creator interview, art gallery, border artwork, save states, and a music player. The clock is ticking…can you survive?
