During a radio program for KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World Season 3, Kadokawa announced that the season will receive a new OVA. Further details regarding the KonoSuba Season 3 OVA were not announced, however.

Natsume Akatsuki initially wrote the light novel series KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World! in 2012. KonoSuba received several adaptations, including manga releases, two anime seasons, and video games. KonoSuba Season 3 premiered on April 10, 2024, nearly seven years after the second season ended.
Takaomi Kanasaki directs the third season at studio Drive alongside Yujiro Abe, the episode director for Great Pretender. Makoto Uezu and Koichi Kikuta return as scriptwriter and character designer respectively. Moreover, Masato Kōda returns as the anime series composer. The new cast members of KonoSuba include:
- Kanon Takao as Iris
- Sayuri Yahagi as Claire
- Reina Ueda as Rain
Machico performs opening theme song “Growing Up.” Cast members Sora Amamiya, Rie Takahashi, and Ai Kayano perform the ending theme song “Ano Hi no Mama no Bokura” (Us, Just Like on That Day).
