IzanagiGames and Acquire announced a free update for AMEDAMA is now available, featuring Memory Quests and the new “Chinchirorin” mini-game. The update also brings some fixes and new achievements.
In the latest AMEDAMA update, new Memory Quests allow players to experience the past memories of key characters they’ve defeated. After seven days have passed since the character’s defeat, protagonist Yushin may see objects imbued with lingered thoughts of those characters. Yushin can enter a world of their past memories to begin a quest as that character, which means they cannot possess others. Completing the sequence will also complete the Memory Quest and reward the player with a keepsake. Each keepsake obtained reduces the Soul Glow depletion rate by 1%.
The new Chinchirorin mini-game is available in the gambling den. It’s a simple game where players roll three dice to determine the outcome. A win or loss is determined by the numbers on the three dice. Talk to the gambler outside the gambling den in the post town to play Chinchirorin, with a minimum wager of 100 mon.
The new update also brings new Steam achievements and improvements. These improvements include an UI enhancements, reduced processing load, and fixes to bugs that halt progression.
As noted in Final Weapon’s AMEDAMA early access review, the game came a long way in development. A pre-release update for the game and demo added character voices, controller vibration support, and several quality-of-life improvements. The game will continue to receive updates leading into its inevitable full launch.
AMEDAMA is available now on Steam in early access, and a Nintendo Switch version will release on November 21 worldwide. In Japan, the Nintendo Switch version of AMEDAMA will be sold physically and digitally.
