Blumhouse Games has shared a new behind-the-scenes interview with Fear The Spotlight developers Cozy Game Pals, a husband and wife duo crafting a unique horror experience. Unveiled at SGF 2024, Fear The Spolight was inspired by PS1 classic horror titles like Silent Hill and Resident Evil. There’s been heavy attention to detail placed on recreating the graphics from that time period, with many surprises in store for players.
Fear The Spotlight follows Vivian and Amy as they sneak into their school at night when no one’s around. Sunnyside High has a secret, and it’s one that Vivian must solve to find Amy and escape the terrors of the past. Check out the new behind-the-scenes interview with Cozy Game Pals below:
In our Summer Game Fest 2024 preview, we stated the following on Fear The Spotlight: “It’s safe to say that this gamble to pull the game from Steam last year has largely paid off, as Fear the Spotlight I played at Summer Game Fest 2024 was absolutely incredible. It’s great to see Blumhouse Games supporting small titles like this one, and if my time with the game is anything to go by, I expect that the partnership for Fear the Spotlight will majorly benefit both Cozy Pal Games and Blumhouse.”
Fear The Spotlight will release on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Mac, and PC via Steam later this year. Be sure to stay tuned for more information as it releases from Blumhouse Games.
