GungHo Online Entertainment has announced that Puzzle & Dragons will be collaborating with the Ultraman property starting from today until September 16. The collaboration is likely meant to coincide with the recent release of Ultraman: Rising on Netflix. The game will feature items and collectibles based on Ultraman. The collaboration will feature new login rewards, special dungeons, new magic stones, and more.
GungHo describes it as follows:
Make Haste and Save the World! Duke it out and clobber the Kaijus through ten Ultraman-themed dungeons: The Ultraman Dungeon features two difficulties: Ultraman-Novice and Ultraman-Expert. Gather Ultraman Event Medals and exchange them at the Monster Exchange! In Ultraman-Novice, players will receive various first-time clear rewards for each floor cleared, including Magic Stones and Jewel of Fire. Complete all floors in Ultraman-Novice and receive 1x Event Medal – Rainbow as a first-time clear reward.
Ultraman fans can rejoice as they team up with Ultraman character favorites including new characters such as Ultraman & Ultraseven, Ultraman Victory, and Zoffy! Three different Egg Machines are available for players to pull: 6 Magic Stones! Ultraman Egg Machine 2, 6 Magic Stones! Ultraman Egg Machine 1, and 7 Magic Stones! ★6+ Ultraman Egg Machine.
GungHo initially released Puzzle & Dragons in 2012 for mobile devices. The game allows players to traverse dungeons to collect loot. Over the years, the game has crossed over with several licensed IPs such as Persona, Dragon Quest, Chainsaw Man, Demon Slayer, and My Hero Academia.
The Puzzle & Dragons Ultraman collaboration will be available until September 16 on the Nintendo Switch, PC, Android, and iOS. On mobile devices, it is free-to-play. On the Nintendo Switch, the game costs $4.37.
