Paramount has released the first trailer for the upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog 3 film. The film will release in theaters on December 20.
Sonic the Hedgehog 3 is the long-awaited newest entry in the ongoing Sonic the Hedgehog movie franchise that began in 2020. The upcoming film will feature the highly anticipated debut of Shadow the Hedgehog, Sonic’s sworn rival since his debut in Sonic Adventure 2. Recently, the social media accounts for the film confirmed that Keanu Reeves will voice Shadow. On October 25, SEGA will feature Shadow in the upcoming remastered version of Sonic Generations, titled Sonic x Shadow Generations. Check out our preview of the game here.
Sonic the Hedgehog 3 Trailer Reveals First Look at Shadow the Hedgehog
After much anticipation, Paramount has finally released a trailer for the upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog 3 movie. The preview showcases the first look at the film’s action, Dr. Robotnik’s new design, and a look at Shadow the Hedgehog, portrayed by Keanu Reeves. Check out the first trailer below:
Keanu Reeves is no stranger to voicing video game characters. He most recently starred as Johnny Silverhand in Cyberpunk 2077 and its expansion, Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty. He was a main character and starred through a majority of the campaign, accompanying V, the protagonist. With Sonic the Hedgehog 3, he joins Cyberpunk 2077 co-star Idris Elba, who voices Knuckles. Elba voiced Solomon Reed in Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty.
The upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog 3 movie will premiere in theaters on December 20. Sonic X Shadow Generations will launch on October 25 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.
