Inti Creates announced a free demo for card battle RPG Card-en-Ciel will release on September 4 for PC via Steam and September 5 for Nintendo Switch. A demo was not confirmed for the PlayStation and Xbox versions.

The Card-en-Ciel demo contains two main dungeons from the full game, along with a tutorial dungeon. Save data from the demo may be transferred over to the full game once it launches in October.

Alongside the new demo announcement, Inti Creates shared a “Gameplay Deep Dive” video on YouTube:

Card-en-Ciel physical editions will be sold in Japan for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5. The Standard Edition will cost 4,950 yen, while the Limited Edition will cost 10,890 yen. Limited Edition contents include the game, an art book, a three-disc soundtrack CD, and an acrylic Ancie keychain. Both physical editions include Divine Dynamo Flamefrit as a bonus.

In Card-en-Ciel, players control Neon, a gaming detective that collects cards and battles others. More than 10 unique dungeons are available with a diverse roster of character cards to earn and equip for roguelite card battles. Special “Muse Cards” can activate powerful abilities through songs, with 50 vocal tracks included in the game. Hidden card “glitches” may also be used to unleash powerful combos. Also, characters from other Inti Creates IPs will appear in the game.

Ancie (Ruriko Noguchi) performs the game’s theme song “To the Promised Sky.” Yura Hatsuki is the song’s lyricist, and Takumi Sato is the composer/arranger. The Card-en-Ciel story trailer also confirms that 50 vocal songs will be performed by Muses in the game.

Lastly, Card-en-Ciel launches October 24 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
