Capcom has announced that the original release of Resident Evil 2 will be available on GOG on August 27. The first Resident Evil is already available on the store, with Resident Evil 3 set to release at some point in the future.
The original Resident Evil released in 1996 on the PlayStation 1. In 1998, Capcom released Resident Evil 2, and in 1999, they released Resident Evil 3: Nemesis. Over the past few years, they’ve released remakes of all of the games mentioned above, as well as a Resident Evil 4 remake. The most recent new entry in the series, Resident Evil Village, is available now on all consoles, including Apple devices.
Resident Evil 2 GOG Release Date Confirmed
Capcom has officially announced that Resident Evil 2 will be available via GOG on August 27. It will be available alongside the original Resident Evil and the upcoming release of the original Resident Evil 3 on the store. The GOG page describes it as follows:
