After a near year-and-a-half-long hiatus by mangaka Yoshihiro Togashi, Shueisha announced that the Hunter x Hunter manga will return on October 7 in Weekly Shonen Jump. The new chapter, chapter 401, will be available in the 45th issue of the weekly magazine.
Shueisha first shared the Hunter x Hunter manga news in a “Jump Press” livestream, alongside the ending date of the Jujutsu Kaisen manga. Previously, Togashi announced his hiatus in January 2023, noting that he was facing health issues. Togashi now notes that the return of the Hunter x Hunter manga means that it will no longer follow a weekly serialized format.
New Hunter x Hunter chapters will be simultaneous published worldwide through VIZ Media and Manga Plus. The entire Hunter x Hunter manga up to the latest chapter, Hunter x Hunter chapter 400, is available to read online right now. Fans may also look forward to Hunter x Hunter: Nen x Impact, a new 3v3 fighting game by Eighting.
