Naoki Hamaguchi Says The Third Final Fantasy VII Remake Title Will “Beat Any Expectations You Have”

    The promise has been made.

Earlier this week, Naoki Hamaguchi and Yoshinori Kitase sat down for a panel titled ‘Final Fantasy VII Rebirth “Summoning A Masterpiece,”’ which took place at Boulevard City in Riyadh. The team discussed Final Fantasy VII Rebirth and the development behind it, even stretching as far as talking about the upcoming third and final title. Naoki Hamaguchi had plenty of teases, but he promised one thing above all: the third title will “beat any expectations you have.”

Hamaguchi said the following during the panel through an interpreter: “The development team is hard at work as we speak, and we’re going to make the game something that even beats any expectations you have towards the game. I’m absolutely confident that the third game in the Final Fantasy VII Remake series will be one of the most loved, most popular games in the whole history of video games once again.”

The excitement for the third and final title in the Final Fantasy VII Remake trilogy is at an all-time high, especially coming off of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth earlier this year. With the entirety of Disc 2 & 3 left to be adapted, another historic chapter surely awaits with this final title.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is available now for PlayStation 5, with future platforms possible now that the exclusivity period is over. Be sure to check out our 5/5 review of the game, where we stated, “Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is a generational RPG that exemplifies everything there is to love about the medium.”
