Type-Moon has revealed that Fate/stay night Remastered will release next week on August 8 for Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam. This announcement was revealed at FGO Fes. 2024 with a live panel. Unfortunately, it appears that the game will be a digital-only release. Type-Moon has marked it as such. Check out the announcement trailer below:
Pre-orders are now live on the Nintendo eShop. The Steam page is also up, though pre-orders have not opened. Fate/stay night Remastered is priced at $29.99, with a 10% launch discount available through August 21.
This remaster is of Fate/stay night Réalta Nua, which is a release based on the PlayStation 2 version of the game. In this version, adult content was removed, and the three separate routes were split between three separate episodes instead of one main title.
This release will mark the third major Type-Moon title to make its way to the West. Type-Moon first began this initiative with Witch on the Holy Night, which released in December 2022 for PS4 and Switch simultaneously in Japan and in the West. The latest release, 2021’s Tsukihime -A piece of blue glass moon-, was finally released in English for the first time across Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 in June. Fate/Stay Night Remastered will launch on August 8, 2024, worldwide on Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam. A PlayStation version of the title has not been confirmed at this time.
