Marvel Rivals Reveals Venom Trailer, SDCC 2024 Panel

New info on the SDCC appearances.

    Published:

Today, Marvel Games and NetEase Games have revealed a new character, Venom, for the upcoming Marvel Rivals. Additionally, the two companies have confirmed that the game will make an appearance at San Diego Comic-Con 2024, which is set for later this month.

Venom is one of the most recognizable Marvel villains, especially after the surge of Spider-Man fans in recent years. His move set in Marvel Rivals looks to utilize the symbiote abilities to the fullest, with strands of symbiote attacking enemies nearby. Additionally, Venom is able to swing across buildings and deal massive damage with a Diving Strike. You can check out the new trailer for Venom in Marvel Rivals below.

As for the SDCC appearances, there are four separate events scheduled. First, a panel titled Marvel Rivals: The Story, Art and Sound of the Game will be held from 11:15 AM PDT – 12:15 PM PDT on Thursday, July 25. This panel will include members of both Marvel Games and NetEase Games to discuss the story, art, and sound design of the game. Exclusive reveals are teased.

Next, the Marvel Rivals Special Presentation will air later that day from 4:30 – 5:00 PM PDT. This presentation will include an SDCC-exclusive lithograph for all attendees and feature a brand-new trailer. A community live stream will occur through Discord at 10 PM PDT, followed by a Marvel Rivals Signing Session on Friday, July 26, featuring a special guest.

The closed beta for Marvel Rivals will begin on July 23 and end on August 5. The beta will be available on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. Twenty-one different playable characters will be available across iconic Marvel locations, including the TOKYO 2099: Spider-Islands map.
