Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin offers a fresh journey where players can explore a vast world, uncovering ancient secrets. The story follows a young Rider who can form bonds with monsters, known as Monsties, and use them in turn-based battles. The protagonist assists Ena, a Wyverian girl who entrusts the player with an egg predicted to hatch a Rathalos capable of causing destruction. Together, they embark on a quest to uncover the mysteries of ancient legends, test the strength of their bonds with Monsties, and prevent a looming catastrophe.
Players may enjoy both Monster Hunter Stories and Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin in one package: Monster Hunter Stories Collection. The collection is available physically, but only Monster Hunter Stories is included on the Switch game cart. Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin is available in a download voucher.
