Bandai Namco and Dimps announced large-scale multiplayer game Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream will launch on October 3 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.

Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris previously served as the “culmination” of the game series, but a new chapter begins in Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream. In this new game, a new system is added to Alfheim Online, but a severe error causes all worlds and timelines to collide. This situation creates a new setting for Kirito and the other players, as departed characters return and new factions are forged.
