Kamitsubaki Studio announced the new Kamitsubaki City Ensemble rhythm game will come to Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5 alongside Android, iOS, and PC via Steam. The new game will release worldwide on August 29 with English, Japanese, Korean, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese language options, according to the game’s official website.
As previously announced, Studio Lalala and Rocket Studio Inc are the co-developers of Kamitsubaki City Ensemble. Harusaruhi, KAF, RIM, Isekaijoucho, and COKO will voice the main characters, and HARD CORE TANO*C will compose the game’s music.
Monark fans may remember Kamitsubaki from the game’s official soundtrack, which featured tracks performed by members of Virtual Witch Phenomenon, or V.M.P. As briefly mentioned, current members of the group include Harusaruhi, KAF, RIM, Isekaijoucho, and COKO.
In 2025, Kamitsubaki Studio will release a brand-new Kamitsubaki City Under Construction anime series in 2025. This anime will air on TV networks, and a key visual was revealed this past January. Further details about the anime project have not been revealed, however.
Lastly, here’s an overview of Kamitsubaki City Ensemble, via the official Steam page:
“Kamitsubaki City Ensemble” is a rhythm game in which AI girls who were awoken after the apocalypse use special song magic to create melodies with you, in an effort to restart the world. How did the destruction happen? Why do these girls exist? All answers will be revealed…when the music stops.
