Samurai Warriors 4 DX Steam Update Fixes Several Bugs

    Includes a cutscene skip feature.

    Koei Tecmo and Omega Force have released the version update for Samurai Warriors 4 DX on PC via Steam, fixing several bugs that previously affected the game. 

    The latest Samurai Warriors 4 DX Steam update addresses an issue that made progression impossible when certain cutscenes played. Bugs affecting transparent bitmap images, English text, resolution settings, and soldier colors were also fixed. Moreover, the option to skip cutscenes in the first playthrough is now available. 

    Here are patch notes for Samurai Warriors 4 DX update from Steam: 

    • Fixed a bug making it impossible for players to progress when certain cutscenes played.
    • Fixed a bug preventing transparent bitmap images from loading properly. (Some transparent bitmap images will not load.)
    • Fixed a bug in which text was displayed incorrectly in the English version of the game.
    • Fixed a bug restricting selectable resolution settings.
    • Added the option to skip cutscenes from the first playthrough.
    • Fixed a bug in which soldier colors were incorrect.
    • Fixed other minor bugs.

    Samurai Warriors 4 DX launched on March 14, 2019 for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 in Japan. The game includes Samurai Warriors 4 and all previously released DLC, which totals over 150 pieces. The Steam release followed up on May 13, 2024, and supports English and Japanese language options with full Japanese voice overs.
