Shin Megami Tensei V Vengeance contains the entire original game’s story, known as the Canon of Creation. However, this new version of the game includes a breadth of new content featuring new story scenes and more. Who wouldn’t want to meet new characters, add over 40 new demons to their retinue, and explore new locations? This can all be found within the Canon of Vengeance storyline. Don’t worry though, all of the features this updated version boasts are still accessible in Canon of Creation!
How to Access the New Story
ATLUS has made it absurdly easy to access the new story content within SMTVV. Just start the game like normal and proceed through the introductory scenes. Not long after inputting the player’s name, a cutscene will offer the protagonist a choice. A girl is silhouetted – inviting the player to forge a never-before-seen path. A path of vengeance and chaos. All you have to do is take the girl’s hand. The game will double-check with the player after the scene ends to ensure that this is what they want. Remember, there are no takebacks after this. If you want to play the other storyline you’ll either have to start a new save or wait to do it on New Game Plus moving forward.
