A new trailer for Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl was revealed today at the Xbox Games Showcase. The trailer focuses largely on combat and the game’s detailed open world. Stalker 2 will launch on Xbox Series X|S and PC on September 5. It will also be available to play via Xbox Game Pass.
Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl will be the first game in the series since Stalker: Call of Pripyat, which was released nearly 15 years ago. For those who aren’t aware, the Stalker series combines FPS and survival horror gameplay with some immersive sim elements.
Additionally, the game will feature a hefty amount of Ukrainian voice acting with English subtitles available. Stalker 2 is promising to be an immersive experience with its realistically rendered environments.

The title of the trailer reflects the many options that await the player in the Zone. The game will have a non-linear structure that will allow players to tackle objectives as they see fit. While the game will be full of intense encounters, there will also be hub areas to rest at in between missions.
GSC Game World says that this trailer will kick off a series of showcases throughout the summer, so fans can expect to see plenty more soon.
Stalker 2 was previously aiming for a release date as far back as 2021, but the game has been delayed numerous times since then. However, it appears that fans will finally be able to get their hands on the game this fall. The current release date was revealed earlier this year in January.
