The upcoming Fable got a new trailer at today’s Xbox Game Showcase. It was also revealed that the game will be coming in 2025, although no specific release date is known as of writing. Players still have a long wait ahead of them.
It is also confirmed that Eidos Montreal will be collaborating with Playground Games to support development. This was reported in 2022, but the official confirmation itself is from today.
The latest trailer focuses on the character of Humphry, portrayed by British comedy actor Matt King. Humphry is Albion’s former greatest hero who has been enjoying a much more relaxed life of retirement in his later years.
Fans will be able to play Fable on Xbox Series X|S and PC when it launches next year. In addition, Xbox Games Pass subscribers will gain access to the game on day one.
Fable Xbox Games Showcase 2024 Trailer
The trailer showcases the game’s detailed visuals and a brief amount of gameplay. Fans can catch a glimpse of the NPCs they will meet and the monsters they will face.
The public got to see Fable briefly for the first time in 2020 when it was announced. Since then, another trailer was shown at last year’s Xbox Games Showcase. With this in mind, Fable will launch approximately 5 years after its reveal.
Playground Games will be responsible for the development of Fable. This is the same studio behind the hit Forza Horizon series, which is known for its beautiful open worlds to race in. While this game obviously won’t feature any cars, the track record of Playground Games is quite solid.
