Nightdive Studios has officially revealed The Thing: Remastered, a new version of the 2002 movie adaptation. Additionally, in a recent interview, they teased some other games they would like to remaster at some point.
The Thing is a 1982 movie, directed by John Carpenter. The film is a beloved sci-fi horror classic that has received several reboots and adaptations. One of those adaptations is the 2002 squad-based third-person shooter survival horror game, simply titled The Thing. Nightdive Studios will be remastering the game alongside the recently announced Killing Time: Resurrected.
The Thing: Remastered Announced, Trailer Released
Nightdive Studios has revealed The Thing: Remastered, a port of the 2002 survival horror movie adaptation. They’ve also shown a new trailer for the upcoming game. Currently, the release date for the remaster is unknown. However, the game will be available on both PC and consoles. The game is available to wishlist now on Steam. The key features of the remaster are as follows:

Further, in an interview with Larry Kuperman, the Director of Business Development at Nightdive, the company stated other games they would want to remaster at some point in the future. These are Deus Ex, Outlaws, and Arx Fatalis. Only time will tell if Nightdive will ever get a chance to remaster these classic titles.
Lastly, The Thing: Remastered will release at some point on both PC and consoles.
