The official website for the Grendizer U anime has confirmed that the series will air on July 5. The website has also released a new promo.
UFO Robo Grendizer is the third entry in Nagai’s Mazinger mecha franchise. Titled Grendizer, Nagai released the original anime in 1975. The upcoming Grendizer U anime is described as a reboot of the original anime. Go Nagai initially announced the series in August 2023 and revealed more members of the cast in November. The last trailer released in December.
Grendizer U Premiere Date Confirmed, New Promo Revealed
The official website for the upcoming Grendizer U anime has finally revealed the premiere date for the series. The anime’s first episode will air on July 5. Additionally, the website has also released a new promo for the series, previewing the anime’s ending theme. BAND-MAID will perform the ED, titled “Protect You.” Check out the new promo below:

“Duke Fleed is a survivor of the Vega Star, raised by Dr. Umon as his adoptive son, and known as Daisuke Umon on Earth. Years after his arrival, he’s faced with the threat of King Vega and his army, who want to conquer the Earth. With his friends Koji and Hikaru (and later his kid sister Maria Grace), Duke decides to fight back using his best weapon—the almighty Grendizer.”
Lastly, Grendizer U will air on July 5. At the time of writing, a distributor for the series is currently unknown. The anime’s staff will likely reveal more in the coming weeks.
