    Octopath Traveler Rated for PS4/PS5, Octopath Traveler II for Xbox

    The Taiwan Digital Game Rating Committee rated the original Octopath Traveler game for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. These versions of Octopath Traveler were rated alongside the upcoming Xbox Series X|S version of Octopath Traveler II

    The rating corroborates a recent report that indicated Octopath Traveler II could come to Xbox Series X|S this month. It will be available with Xbox Game Pass at no additional cost for subscribers. An announcement appears very likely for Xbox Games Showcase, which is set for Sunday, June 9. 

    Octopath Traveler II is the latest entry in Square Enix’s hit HD-2D JRPG series, which is developed by Acquire. Square Enix released the game on February 24, 2023 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Steam, and the Nintendo Switch. The Xbox Series X|S version are planned to release sometime in 2024.

    While waiting on the new versions of Octopath Traveler, fans can read up on the Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent manga adaptation. The full name of the series is Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent ~The Story of Bargello Family~. The manga is available on Square Enix’s Manga UP! service, and Shibatarō Nakamura is credited for the series’ story.
