    PlayStation VR2 PC Adapter Launching on August 7

    It will allow players to play several SteamVR games.

    PlayStation has announced the PlayStation VR2 PC Adapter. The adapter will allow VR owners to play numerous SteamVR games. It will be available on August 7 for $59.99.

    The PlayStation VR2 initially came out in February 2023. Over the last few months, PlayStation and other developers have released and announced several games for the hardware, including Metro Awakening, Bulletstorm VR, Among Us, and Resident Evil 4 and Village.

    PlayStation has officially revealed an adapter for PlayStation VR2. The adapter will allow players to connect the hardware to their PC. Those who purchase the $59.99 adapter will be able to play numerous SteamVR games, such as Half Life: Alyx, Fallout 4 VR, War Thunder, and more. The hardware will be available on PlayStation Direct and select local and online retailers on August 7.

    The PC requirements are as follows:

      • Intel Core i5-7600 / AMD Ryzen 3 3100 (Zen 2 or later architecture is required)
    • RAM/Memory
      • 8 GB or more
    • GPU/Graphics Card
      • NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 or later (Turing or later architecture is required
      • NVIDIA RTX series
      • AMD Radeon RX 5500XT or later / AMD Radeon RX 6500XT or later
      • (For the best performance, we recommend that you use an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 or later or AMD Radeon RX 6600XT or later graphics card)
    • DisplayPort
      • DisplayPort 1.4 (must have a standard DisplayPort or Mini DisplayPort output port)
    • USB
      • Direct connection only
    • Bluetooth
      • Bluetooth 4.0 or later

    In terms of differences between using the PSVR2 with the PC in comparison to the PlayStation 5, several features, such as eye tracking, adaptive triggers, and haptic feedback, are unavailable through the adapter. That said, 4K visuals, 110-degree field of view, finger touch detection, and more are available on the PC.

    Lastly, the PlayStation VR2 PC Adapter will be available on August 7.
