Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier Episode II to Focus on The Masamune

    A new chapter begins.

This morning, Square Enix premiered a new livestream that detailed the upcoming Episode II of Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier. This story is found in Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis, the hit mobile title that is retelling each of the games in the Compilation of Final Fantasy VII. Episode II of The First Soldier was first teased after the end of Episode I, with Angeal and seemingly Hollander teased to play key roles in this next chapter.

Now, Square Enix has revealed information on what to expect for this part of the story. According to Tetsuya Nomura, the theme and focus of Episode II will be on the friendship between Angeal and Sephiroth and the origin story of the Masamune. As you may know, Sephiroth’s iconic blade is the Masamune, and it seems Tetsuya Nomura and the team at Square aim to tell the story of how Sephiroth got his iconic weapon with this title.

In addition to this revealed information, the team also shared new key art of Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier Episode II. This art features both young Sephiroth and Angeal sitting on a rock with a town in the background. You can take a look below:

In addition to these updates, Square Enix also shared that the team is adjusting the Stamnia and levels needed to complete the stories of each title. This will allow for more players to enjoy the game without the need for a grind. Currently, this update is set to hit sometime next month.

No release date on The First Soldier Episode II was shared, but we do expect we will hear additional details in the coming months.
