Dragon’s Dogma 2 Surpasses 3 Million Copies Sold

The series now with over 11 million copies sold.

Capcom has announced that Dragon’s Dogma 2 has surpassed 3 million copies sold. The company previously revealed that the game passed 2.5 million copies sold in early April, just two weeks after the official launch. To celebrate, the DD2 team released a new picture with a message on the official Twitter/X account. The message reads: ” Thank you to the 3 million Arisen who have embarked on adventures in Dragon’s Dogma 2! We are grateful for your continued support.”

Dragon’s Dogma 2 is the sequel to 2012’s Dragon’s Dogma. Hideaki Itsuno, known by many as the Director of the Devil May Cry series, directed both the original title and the sequel. Dragon’s Dogma 2 was a title he envisioned for years and wanted to achieve following the original title. After the release of Devil May Cry 5, Itsuno was able to focus on DD2 and release a product beloved by Capcom fans worldwide. As of now, the Dragon’s Dogma series has surpassed over 11 million copies sold.

Capcom’s 2024 slate is now widely open, with the Monster Hunter Stories Collection set for next month and Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess set for sometime this year. With loads of rumors surrounding Resident Evil 9, it will be interesting to see if the company has anything to reveal during Summer Game Fest season.
