IGN Entertainment has acquired the Gamer Network family of brands from ReedPop This includes video game outlets Eurogamer, GamesIndustry.biz, Rock Paper Shotgun, VG247, and Dicebreaker. Additionally, Gamer Network has outside shares in numerous outlets, like Outside Xbox, Digital Foundry, and Hookshot, operator of Nintendo Life, Push Square, Pure Xbox, and Time Extension.
Previously, ReedPop disclosed in November that it was searching for a buyer of GamerNetwork. It’s found that in IGN, who is now in control of the five outlets listed above. ReedPop, best known for running PAX, originally acquired Gamer Network in 2018. IGN Entertainment is a division of Ziff Davis and houses IGN, MapGenie, Humble Bundle, and HowLongToBeat.
