Final Fantasy XVI Version 1.32 Patch Notes Revealed

    Launching on May 9.

    Published:

Square Enix confirms that Final Fantasy XVI version 1.32 will release on May 9 with various bug fixes for the game and its DLC.

Final Fantasy XVI players gain access to the new content of The Rising Tide DLC once Origin is available as a destination on the world map and the quest “Priceless” is completed. The DLC gives players to a new questline that takes them to Mysidia and other new areas, such as Kairos Gate and the Aire of Hours. The release of the new DLC was not bug free on April 18, however.

A new update is scheduled for release on May 9th. The following issues will be addressed in the patch:

    • A rare instance in New Game + of party members not being displayed, preventing progress beyond the main scenario quest “A Chance Encounter.”
    • An issue preventing players from obtaining the achievements “Yes, Eikon” and “Masterclass.”
    • Incorrect conditions being required for obtaining the achievement “Such Dodge, So Mega.”
    • A rare instance of the game crashing under certain conditions.

We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your continued support.

As previously revealed, Clive gains access to new Leviathan Eikon abilities, an increased level cap (Story/Action up to level 60, Final Fantasy Mode level up to 110), and new weapons, such as the Curtana relic weapon from Final Fantasy XIV, in The Rising Tide. Players may obtain the Curtana alongside the “Torn from the Heavens” and “Through the Maelstrom” Orchestrion Rolls by purchasing the Rising Tide or the Final Fantasy XVI Expansion Pass.

Lastly, Final Fantasy XVI is available now for PlayStation 5. A PC version is set to be released sometime in the near future. In case you missed it, be sure to check out the upcoming UNIQLO x Final Fantasy XVI collaboration.
