Nihon Falcom revealed new details about The Legend of Heroes: Kai no Kiseki -Farewell, O Zemuria-, including the game’s story, characters, combat system, and so much more. In addition, the official teaser site for The Legend of Heroes: Kai no Kiseki -Farewell O, Zemuria- is now live.
Revealed as the Trails 20th anniversary game, The Legend of Heroes: Kai no Kiseki -Farewell, O Zemuria- will bring a “dramatic change” for Trails. Specifically, the story leads players toward the prophesized “X Day,” which has been subtly teased through various Trails games. Falcom will release the game in Japanese, and Clouded Leopard Entertainment will release the game with Chinese and Korean language options.
The Legend of Heroes: Kai no Kiseki -Farewell O, Zemuria- Story and Characters
Van Arkride (VA: Daisuke Ono) returns as the protagonist of the main story for The Legend of Heroes: Kai no Kiseki -Farewell O, Zemuria-. As a 25-year-old Spriggan, he helps those who lost their way between the real world and the underworld. He has his own methods for making decisions, but his resolve may be tested when it comes to his favorite sweets.
Agnes Claudel (VA: Miku Ito) is a second-year student attending Aramis High School. The 17 year old girl has a gentle spirit with a great sense of determination. She works part-time at the Arkride Solutions Office after requesting Van to pursue a Genesis, an orbment left to Agnes by her great-grandfather. After receiving the Oct-Genesis, she decided to continue working with Van, who she’s in love with.
Bergard Zeman (VA: Akio Otsuka) is a 69-year-old former priest for the Septian Church. As a master of the Kunlun style, he has many disciples across Zemuria. He’s also an important master for Van. He travelled east after the incident in the Republic, but he reunites with Van in order to help him.

C. Epstein, the father of the orbal revolution, prophesized the end of the Zemurian continent.
As “X Day” approaches, a massive orbal rocket is about to be launched from a large military base built in the Kunlun Range.
“Can man make it past the planet’s atmosphere?”
“What lies at the end of the continent?”
“Will mankind be able to uncover the true nature of the ‘world’?”
While the whole world watches to witness the largest undertaking since the dawn of history, somewhere in the singularity that is Ored, forces from all over the land were about to gather, including a young “Spriggan.”
Keywords and Locations
Operation Startaker is a large project headed by Roy Gramheart, the 23rd President of the Republic of Calvard. It’s goal is the reach the uncharted territory “beyond the atmosphere by using communication satellites via Orbal rockets. If possible, Calvard may eventually send humans into space and lead to the creation of a new Orbal communication network.
Zech One Space Military Base is located in the backlands of the Ishgal mountain range as a large facility for the execution of Operation Startaker. The existence of this base was kept top secret until it was official announced by the Calvardian government.
Ored is an independent state in northern Zemuria that borders Remiferia to the west and Calvard to the south. The climate in Ored is warm, despite being located further north than the city of Messeldam, Calvard. The state is known for its agriculture and vistas, but recent years saw Ored become a major hub for foreign capital.
The Marduk Company is a private military company that has developed rapidly in recent years. The PMC utilizes military gear and Orbal equipment with highly advanced technologies. However, the origin of most of the PMC’s assets remain a mystery.
Battle System
The Legend of Heroes: Kai no Kiseki -Farewell, O Zemuria- uses a battle system based off the one used the Trails through Daybreak subseries. This means that players can expect seamless switching between field and command-based battles. The new “Awakening” and “B.L.T.Z (Blitz) System” elements have been added to the upcoming title.
Characters like Van, who can transform into the Grendel form, and Stigma-possessing Dominions are available to enter an “Awakened” state by using the boost gauge. In Awakening, the characters receive a temporary increase to their fighting abilities. Attack power and speed will be increased, and characters can unleash consecutive attacks to gain the upper hand.
Executing normal attacks, Crafts, and Arts in command battles after obtaining the Blitz Bonus will automatically trigger “B.L.T.Z. Chain / B.L.T.Z. Support.” B.L.T.Z. Chain grants a follow-up attack from your partner, followed up by an additional attack. On the other hand, B.L.T.Z. Support offers increased effectiveness of Crafts or Arts. B.L.T.Z. Support is also useful for increasing effectiveness of items, heals and aid-type moves.
The Legend of Heroes: Kai no Kiseki -Farewell O, Zemuria- will release in 2024 with Japanese, Traditional Chinese, and Korean language options. The game’s official website is now live. However, a release date and platforms for the new game have not been revealed yet.
