During the latest episode of Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio TV (Ryusta TV), Like a Dragon series director Masayoshi Yokoyama confirmed that RGG Studio is hosting cast auditions for the next Like a Dragon game.
As discussed in Final Weapon’s review of Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, the latest Like a Dragon entry is well worth the hype as one of 2024’s best games. Many fans showed up for the launch, helping Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth become the fastest selling game in the franchise. Plans for the future of Like a Dragon were teased before the latest episode of Ryusta TV, and Yokoyama notes that there can be two titles on the way.
The Next Like a Dragon Game and Yakuza Kiwami 3
In the spirit of April Fools, Yokoyama shared a brief tidbit about the next Like a Dragon game, confirming that cast auditions are open. Yokoyama also confirms that the next game will not be Yakuza Kiwami 3. However, Yokoyama believes Yakuza Kiwami 3 will happen “sooner or later.”
“But I’m just going to say, I think we’ll do a Kiwami 3 at some point. I think we’ll definitely do it sooner or later.”
