SEGA revealed details on Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis updates arriving in April 2024, and a new collaboration event with the Atelier series is coming soon! Before the collaboration arrives, fans will celebrate the game’s 3rd anniversary with the Halpha’s Super Origin Festival.
The first of the new Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis updates will arrive on April 10 with a new gameplay element for Leciel Exploration. Players can also expect new power-ups, new DOLLS enemies, ability enhancements, new Ruinus boss enemies, the 10-star Xover weapon series, and All-Ship Matchmaking. All-Ship Matchmaking will let players play Leciel Exploration with players from different ships only, but more features will come over time in future updates.
Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis April 2024 Updates – Third Anniversary Festival and Atelier Collaboration
Before the Halpha’s Super Origin Festival begins on April 24, Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis will receive a minor update on April 17. The update introduces the new High-difficulty Quest: Major Target Suppression Mission: Planetcrusher Blitz. In this new quest, players will battle against the Dark Falz Dalion. The new 11-star-Rarity Wingard weapon series is a drop for this quest. Moreover, players can complete title tasks and weekly tasks to earn more rewards. Players can also expect new Build Parts for the Creative Space, including sweets-themed furniture and retro furniture.
The 3rd anniversary campaign, Halpha’s Super Origin Festival, will begin on April 24 with limited-time events and new content. Players can expect decorations to be put up across Central City, and Mischief Symbols will appear in the Exploration Sectors of each region. Xiemi will wear her hakama as the event navigator for the festival, and she will over several rewards for those who complete event tasks. Some of the new rewards available in the Seasonal Points Exchange Shop is the 9-star-Rarity Aeoni Dekelion weapon series.
Anni Rappies, Great Rappies, and Emperappies will also roam the field during the festival. They will also be featured in the Limited-time Urgent Quest: Happy Rappy Rumble: Stia. Defeat Rappies and Resplendent Nex to complete limited-time tasks and title tasks to earn new rewards.
Lastly, Atelier Ryza 3: Alchemist of the End & the Secret Key and Atelier Marie Remake: The Alchemist of Salzburg will collaborate with Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis. The collaboration will feature new avatar items, Build Parts, and so much more.
