Stellar Blade Demo Releases on March 29

A new trailer teases the upcoming demo release.

Sony Interactive Entertainment and Shift Up announced that Stellar Blade will receive a free demo on March 29 at 7:00 a.m. PDT / 10:00 a.m. EDT. As previously announced, Stellar Blade will be a PlayStation 5 exclusive game.

Stellar Blade is developed by Shift Up and directed by CEO Kim Hyung Tae. The new action game was inspired by NieR: Automata and Bayonetta, with a strong emphasis on a single-player story and intricate combo system. Pre-orders for Stellar Blade went live on February 7, just one week after the game was showcased at State of Play.

Stellar Blade Demo On the Way

In a new PlayStation Blog post, director Kim Hyung Tae confirms that the Stellar Blade demo will feature content up to the game’s first boss in the first section. Save data from the demo transfers into the full game, allowing players to continue EVE’s journey from where they left off. Moreover, PlayStation released a brand-new trailer to tease the upcoming demo release.

    Watch the new trailer below:

Here’s what director Tae had to say in the latest PS Blog post:

“The demo takes place from the very beginning of the game when Eve, a member of the 7th Airborne Squad is sent to Earth on a mission to reclaim the planet from the Naytiba, up to the first boss fight. This first stage will include the tutorial phase to help you familiarize yourself with basic combat features as you explore post-war Eidos 7, a human city now infested by the Naytiba, giving you an early grasp of gameplay mechanics that will serve you throughout the game’s story.”
“We also have a little surprise included for players who complete the first stage.
“From the smooth 60fps combat to the haptics, you’ll feel through the DualSense wireless controller, there are various charms of the game that you can only confidently appreciate through hands-on experience.
“For those who complete the demo stage, you can carry over your save data when the full game releases on April 26, starting from the last checkpoint. Please note that save data must be stored on your PS5 system.

The new demo will be available on Friday, March 29, at the following times:

    • Pacific Standard Time: 7:00 a.m. PST
    • Mountain Standard Time: 8:00 a.m. MST
    • Central Standard Time: 9:00 a.m. CST
    • Eastern Standard Time: 10:00 a.m. EST
    • Greenwich Mean Time: 2:00 p.m. GMT
