Clouded Leopard Entertainment (CLE) announced Steam sales for their PC version of Nihon Falcom’s Ys X: Nordics have been temporarily suspended. The publisher is working on a major update to fix the PC version’s bugs and performance issues.
CLE released Ys X: Nordics on March 14 for PC via Steam. Like CLE’s previous Falcom releases, the game supports Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, and Korean language options. Despite the game’s lack of English support, fans were still interested in checking out the PC version. Unfortunately, this turned out to be bad idea for week one buyers, since the game suffers from performance issues.
Ys X: Nordics Steam Sales Suspended
In a statement released by CLE, company CEO Yuen-Yuen Chen confirmed that a new update for Ys X: Nordics is in the works, and Steam sales have been suspended. The company is offering full refunds for the game on Steam, and the sales will remain suspended until the update is ready.
The upcoming update aims to resolve the following issues in Ys X: Nordics:
- Significant drop in frame rate
- Inability to change keyboard settings, and incorrect in-game keyboard instructions
- Freezing during gameplay

Dear Ys X: Nordics Community,
On behalf of everyone at Clouded Leopard Entertainment, I extend our deepest apologies for the challenges you’ve encountered with the quality of Ys X: Nordics since its release on Steam®. We understand that many of you have been looking forward to this game, and it’s clear that our quality control measures were not up to the high standards you rightfully expect from us.
Since the game’s launch, our development teams have been working relentlessly to address and improve these issues. Regrettably, our efforts to provide solutions have not met the pace we aimed for, and for this, I sincerely apologize.
Rest assured that we are wholeheartedly committed to rectifying these problems promptly. We humbly ask for a bit more of your patience during this time.
I want to reiterate my sincerest apologies for any inconvenience or frustration this situation may have caused. Please know that we are taking decisive steps to ensure this does not happen in the future and to enhance your gaming experience.
