    Touken Ranbu Kai: Kyoden Moyuru Honnōji Opening Theme Song Revealed

    The official website for the new Touken Ranbu Kai: Kyoden Moyuru Honnōji anime series confirms that INI will perform the opening theme song “Whatever Happens.” The main cast of the series will perform the ending theme song.

    Touken Ranbu Moyuru Honnōji is a stage play that initially began in 2016. The stage play is based on the Touken Ranbu browser game from 2015 in Japan. The game released worldwide in 2021, but the English and Chinese versions were shut down. Fortunately, fans around the world may enjoy the series once more in the new anime.

    The latest trailer re-confirms that Touken Ranbu Kai: Kyoden Moyuru Honnōji will premiere on April 2 at 11:00 p.m. JST on Tokyo MX, BS11, and more networks. The opening theme song for Touken Ranbu Kai: Kyoden Moyuru Honnōji plays during a portion of the new trailer.

    The Touken Ranbu Kyoden Moyuru Honnōji stage play follows follows Fudō Yukimitsu, the (anthropomorphized) sword that real-life legendary leader Oda Nobunaga received from his attendant Mori Ranmaru. 

    The latest entry in the long-running Touken Ranbu series is Touken Ranbu Warriors, a Musou spin-off by Koei Tecmo, Omega Force, and Ruby Party. Touken Ranbu Warriors is available now for Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam worldwide, and a free demo is available now.
