The ninth volume of the Fate/strange Fake novel series by Ryohgo Narita confirms that the story will conclude in the tenth volume. Although the novel series will soon end, the anime adaptation will begin in the near future.
During Anime Expo 2023, the Fate/strange Fake -Whispers of Dawn- anime special was finally released on Crunchyroll, giving many Fate fans their first look into the spinoff series. Aniplex also confirmed that a Fate/strange Fake anime series was greenlit at A-1 Pictures, with iconic anime composer Hiroyuki Sawano lending his talents.
Fate/strange Fake Novel Ends With the Anime on the Horizon
According to Anime News Network, Narita noted that he decided to adjust the Fate/strange Fake novel series’ finale after writing the story for the ninth and tenth volumes at the same time. This means that the ending of the novel series is most likely already complete. A release date for the last volume was not announced, however.
The upcoming Fate/strange Fake anime does not have a release date yet, either. Ryohgo Narita and Shizuki Morii are credited as the original author and character designer respectively. Shun Enokido and Takahito Sakazume will direct the anime at A-1 Pictures. Daisuke Ohigashi handles series composition, while Yukei Yamada is the anime character designer and chief animation director. Once more, Sawano is the anime’s composer.
