Touhou Spell Carnival Opening Movie
Touhou Spell Carnival pre-orders will now include a pack of 54 Touhou Spell Carnival-themed playing cards. Illustrator Katsuyuki Hirano drew the illustrations found on the Ace, Jack, Queen, King, and Joker cards.
Lastly, here’s an overview of Touhou Spell Carnival from Final Weapon’s previous coverage:
One day in Gensokyo, Reimu Hakurei (voiced by Mai Nakahara) notices mysterious pillars that have risen up all over the land. These pillars are a signal that Futousai, a festival organized by Yukari Yakumo, has begun. In this festival, participants battle for spell cards. Reimu joins the spell card competition to uncover the truth behind the festival.
In Touhou Project, Reimu spends most of her time at Hakurei Shrine as she cleans, drinks tea, and lives a relatively carefree life. This changes when the Futousai begins, prompting her to resolve anomalies and exterminate yokai once more. She can also fly in the sky to a certain extent.
Marisa Kirisame (voiced by Yumi Uchiyama) is an ordinary magician who’s curious and prone to causing trouble. She’s a contrarian, but she’s also straightforward, hardworking, and competitive as a capable magician. Marisa runs the Kirisame Magic Shop in the Forest of Magic. She can use magic to an extent in Touhou Spell Carnival.
