What Happened in Episode 8? (Recap)

After obtaining the elixir blueprint, Jinwoo is determined to cure his mother’s illness and maintain the stability of his family. However, it’s clear that Jinwoo needs more experience in order to progress further in his quest. He decided to D-rank to gain such experience and earn some money along the way.

However, this D-rank mission becomes extremely suspicious, as members of the ill-fated Cartenon Temple mission were called to this operation as well. Concern begins to rise as Kang Taeshik from the Korean Hunter’s Association brings three convicts that will assist with the mission.

Meanwhile, Choi Jong-In and Baek Yoonho discuss the reclamation of Jeju Island, which was sealed off after a failed operation. S-rank hunter Cha Hae-in is seemingly briefed on their discussion, setting up events that will transpire later on in the anime.
