Falcom Announces Tokyo Xanadu New Project

"You remember what Rem said, don't you?"

After several teases, Nihon Falcom finally announced Tokyo Xanadu New Project, a new game that celebrates the 10th anniversary of the series. The title was previously teased as “Tokyo Xanadu K,” in the Nintendo Switch re-release of Tokyo Xanadu eX+.

The Falcom March 2024 calendar teases the tagline “You remember what Rem said, don’t you?” with the initials “T.X.K.” Once more, this would turn out to be a reference to a Tokyo Xanadu eX+ sequel. Fortunately, Falcom didn’t wait much longer for the game’s reveal.

According to Falcom’s new website and trailer, the Tokyo Xanadu New Project takes place in the city of Kyoto and depicts a story of juveniles that travel to a realm known as “Xanadu.” Although it’s set in the same world as Tokyo Xanadu eX+, the setting is new with all-new gameplay systems built from scratch.
