Final Fantasy VII Rebirth – Speed Stat Explained

In Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, you might be curious about the implications of the Speed stat found on each character’s stat sheet. It’s a statistic that can be overlooked and one that can truly level the playing field against some of the toughest foes. Here’s everything you need to know about Speed in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth.

    What is Speed?

The Speed statistic allows your ATB gauge to recharge quicker. ATB is essential, as this is how you are able to use abilities, cast spells, and use items in battles. You can gain ATB by attacking enemies normally, but it naturally recharges over time in battle.

    Why is Speed Important?

Speed can be essential to landing massive blows on enemies. As it directly increases the rate of ATB recharge, you can cast more abilities quickly. This means healing allies, dealing massive ability damage, and assessing enemies without compromise.

    How to Increase Speed Stat

To increase your Speed stat, there are a number of different routes you can take. The first and the easiest is to level up each of your party members to the maximum level. They will each earn Speed among other stats with every level up, so you’re guaranteed to continue building this stat here. Next, you can also use Haste during a battle. This will speed up the ATB recharge rate tremendously. If that’s not your thing, you can also equip certain accessories that will increase Speed. Finally, some characters have Speed stat boosts that can be unlocked in the Folio system. Purchasing these will automatically increase the amount of Speed they have.
