    Bravely Series Producer Teases Announcements for 2024

    Bravely series producer Tomoya Asano teases new announcements for 2024 in a tweet celebrating the third anniversary of Bravely Default II. One of the announcements could be a Bravely Default remaster, which Asano previously teased.

    The first Bravely Default game released on October 11, 2012 in Japan as Bravely Default: Flying Fairy. The success of Bravely Default lead to the creation of the Bravely series, which includes 2015’s Bravely Second: End Layer and 2021’s Bravely Default II. A Bravely Default remaster was teased in October 2022, and 2024 could be the year where it gets announced. 

    New Bravely Announcements Coming Sometime in 2024

    In a tweet from the Bravely series Twitter account, Square Enix shared new artwork by Bravely and Octopath Traveler series illustrator Rina Yoshiura to celebrate the third anniversary of Bravely Default II. A message from producer Tomoya Asano was also shared, thanking fans for their continued support at the end of 2023 and New Year’s Day. Asano teases that news about “some developments” for the Bravely series will be made in 2024, implying that game announcements are on the way. One of these announcements will likely be a Bravely Default remaster for modern platforms.

    Network servers for Bravely Default and Bravely Second: End Layer were permanently taken offline on June 30, 2023. Online features such as Net Friend Invites and sending Nemeses are no longer be available in both games. However, both titles are playable to the very end, and StreetPass functionally remains available. Additionally, Asano thanked fans for their continued support of the Bravely series as online support for these Nintendo 3DS titles end. 

    Bravely Default and Bravely Second: End Layer are available now for Nintendo 3DS. Lastly, Bravely Default II, the latest Bravely title in the series, is available now for Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam.
